Our History

ArcSource began with one foot in architecture and one in IT.

In the late 90s, our founder Dave Monk worked as both a designer and the unofficial “IT guy” at a Bay Area architecture firm. He quickly realized something most creative and professional firms still experience today: it’s hard to find IT partners who understand the specific challenges of your industry.

So in 1998, Dave launched ArcSource with a mission to fill that gap—with deep empathy, technical excellence, and a people-first approach.

Today, ArcSource is still proudly headquartered in the Bay Area, serving firms in architecture, engineering, design, legal, nonprofit, and beyond. We’re not just proud of our history—we’re excited about your future.
